When I reached home
After
meeting her
Nothing
was familiar
Nothing
was in its right place
Everything
felt different
Pictures
on the walls
Clothes
in the wardrobe
Curtains
hanging against the windows
Books
in the shelf
Curiously
even
The
diary besides bed wasn’t mine
Someone
had scribbled in it
“Dear
diary, I miss him terribly!”
The
bed was still warm
As
I was making sense of this strangeness
Someone
suddenly
Embraced
me from behind
It
was only then I realized
After
all my nightlong attempts of going home
After
all the loitering and roaming around
In
my oblivion
I
have come back to her place only
“Did
you sleep well?” she asked
“I
missed you terribly!” I replied
