How Have You Been?

We bumped into each other
Unexpectedly
At the entrance of the dargah
Where a long time ago
We prayed together
For peace and eternal togetherness

“How have you been?”
She asked while fidgeting
With her locket

I couldn’t say anything

Not a long time ago
This question always meant

Let’s spend the whole night together… praying!

Find Me A Midpoint!

No more laughter
No more crying
No more tiptoeing
Around my life

Happiness
You’ve been too shallow
To reach my despondent soul

Sadness
You’ve been too deep
To cause a fair wound

Find me a midpoint
Will you?
Find-me-a-damn-midpoint

Sad Poem

She gave me everything
Except her heart
I gave her everything
Except my words

Now
She lives
With happy heart with someone
And I live
With my sad poems

No Last Kiss

There is no last kiss
Last kiss is only a fiction
A myth created by those
Who stop loving
Or cannot love more…

Every kiss is immortal in its own way
It’s the only thing
That keeps you and me alive

What’s Worth Loving?

There isn’t much.

You.

Your presence
When it’s winter
Or summer
Or any other season

Your voice
When you are angry
Or happy
Or rude to me

Your clothes
Who only I have privilege
To touch
Or smell
Or take them off

Your face
Which is sculpted in love
By angels
Or demons
Or together by both

Your kiss
The pathway to bliss
Or madness
Or total abandon

Your final letter
The last attempt at saving me
Or loving me
Or letting me go…

Silent Night

That blessed night
Cloaked in silence
You held me tight
In your arms

You laid my head
Gently on your lap
Ran fingers
Through my hairs

Your right hand
Rested lightly
On my chest
Healing me from inside

When your hair
Wantonly fell
Across my face
You brushed them aside
From my face
As if to read
An old dusty scripture

You read me all night

It was only much later
When I realized
That it wasn’t a night
And nothing around us
Was silent at all
