That
blessed night
Cloaked
in silence
You
held me tight
In
your arms
You
laid my head
Gently
on your lap
Ran
fingers
Through
my hairs
Your
right hand
Rested
lightly
On
my chest
Healing
me from inside
When
your hair
Wantonly
fell
Across
my face
You
brushed them aside
From
my face
As
if to read
An
old dusty scripture
You
read me all night
It
was only much later
When
I realized
That
it wasn’t a night
And
nothing around us
Was
silent at all
