Fall

No Sweetness! No!
You didn’t destroy me!
You couldn’t have!

I am the Nero of my own heart

The empire of my pride
Couldn’t save itself
From the roman mob of my own thoughts

I crucified my own prophet of love

I foolishly revealed the secret
Of my wooden horse
Before it entered your Troy

I tickled Atlas myself
Stole Archimedes’ lever
Doubted Desdemona
Let upon myself
The unconsummated passion of Narcissus
Strangled my only comfort of life

No Sweetness!
You did nothing!
I only consumed myself
Into utter loneliness

An eternal abominable life without you!

  1. Lovely as usual...how beautifully made...truly said that when we become passion's slaves we can create and destroy the same thing...maybe that's why in Persian Literature after Junoon, Maut comes
