Her phone rang
Louder than the sirens of Gaza
"Hello! Who is this?"
She asked me
Like an interrogator questions
Its victims - ruthlessly
"It's me."
"Can I meet you?"
"One last time?"
She didn't reply
---- Pause ----
Silence stabbed my ears
Like tear-gas suffocates
The lungs of Palestanian child
Forcing tears out of
Their non-crying dull eyes
She changes her position
To change her tone
And drops her last bomb
"Listen, Muzammil..."
"I'm not your Gaza!"
"You're not Israel to me!"
She dropped the call.
