It Is Not Eid

If children are killed ruthlessly

Families bombed relentlessly

Women raped mercilessly

Homes destroyed with extreme prejudice

It is not Eid

Yet in many ways

When a defenseless child

Courageously stands against the tyrant

When love overpowers hatred

When in the most darkest nights

People hold each other with trust and faith

It is Eid

P.S.: And do not say about those who are killed in the way of Allah , "They are dead." Rather, they are alive, but you perceive [it] not. Quran 2:154
