Fear Not The World Is Changing

Fear not the world is shrinking upon us
There is enough space inside
A single dream is enough
To create a new world

Somewhere out there
In the eyes of a child
The dream is no different from reality
Both share the same roots

Change is a many headed snake
One who tames one
Tames them all

Fear not the world is changing upon us
There is enough space for every change

False Pretext

It’s only under false pretext
That I behave selfishly
I can never though
Love myself
More than I love you

Silence consumes me
Like termites eat dry wood
Darkness fights me
Like an untamed bull
I open my eyes wider
To see you in the dark
I sense your uncanny presence every night
In my empty room
I ask myself
Is this how madness casts its shadow?

The fangs of sadness are upon me
I try distracting myself
I think of full moon
Watching me like an insomniac eye

The curve of the sky sharpens my vision
I see beyond the tomb of my death
I rinse a dream off my eyes
Pour it in a moon-reflecting lake
It brightens the whole valley

I don’t remember clearly
If I saw you last night or dreamt about you
Dreams are the soul of light
You could steal my soul right then

If only love could be mastered
But it’s not a skill or a magic trick
It’s light on a dark road
Hope is the only source of peace in love
I have no peace

Thus it’s only under false pretext
That I am hopeful
The darkness of your indifference
Never leaves me

Note To Self

No night is too long
To forget
That the day is eventually going to come

Election Day

Did you vote?
Everyone is asking me

I keep wondering
Who will choose the one?
Who is the chosen one?

Life counted is life wasted
Every progress is not growth
Every change is not progress

The value of life lies in loving
Not suffering

Yes, I did vote
But not in secret ballot
I vote openly every day
For happiness, against sadness
For love, against hatred
For wisdom, against ignorance

This is my democracy
This is my fundamental right

I Hate You

I hate everything about you
I hate you so much
I don’t want to remember
The day I met you
I hate that day
That moment

You changed me
My sight
My hearing
My touch
My taste
My smell
You changed everything about me
I hate this changed person

I hate to spend hours with you
Every day
Forgetting everything I am supposed to do

I hate to eat with you
The only foods you like

I hate the way you look at me
The way you touch me
The way you make me feel

I hate it
When you take pieces of everything I have

I hate to hold you
Cuddle you
Caress you
Hug you every time you smile

I hate to think about you
Every moment
Obsessively

Talk to you
Incessantly
Even when there is nothing to talk

I hate it
To say good night
Tens of times
And still not leave

I hate you so much
That I might die with this hatred

P.S.: The poem is paradoxical.

P.P.S:  The meaning of the poem is contrary to what it reads.

Presence in Absence

 Doors aren’t closed yet
End isn’t an end really

From all the places of her absences
She still watches me
I have marked them all

Like the audience of a true artist never dies
Even if it isn’t real
The beloved of a true lover never leaves
She occupies spaces once forever

Even today
In my routine mundane life
You are as real as your absence
I never lost you
I never lose you

In reality or otherwise

You'll Not Understand This Poem

You’ll never understand this poem
Even though every line of it
Is written only for you

As darkness puts all the colors to sleep
I stand in my colorless balcony
Cut a paper queen out of moon
Spin white thread from moonlight
Dye it deep red
With my own blood
To weave a colorful dress
For the poor night

My blood runs through every constellation
This galaxy has my heart at its center
I call out your name to invoke mine
I can spell your name countless times
Anywhere on the night sky

The roughness of the mountains
Bear likeness to my pain
I climb them all
And find myself alone
The cries of my longing echoes everywhere
I paint a lonely picture of myself
As someone who reflects on life
At the edge of the death

I can craft a flying vehicle out of clouds
I can fashion a city out of desert
I can make animals talk in two languages
I can color the whole sky red forever
It’s not magic
It’s not illusion
It’s all about belief
But you won’t understand

I can only make one see

But one has to see with no eyes
