“How long shall I stay?”
There
were jungles once
Where
you see deserts now
Mountains
have been crushed
To
the ground
Rivers
have been tamed into ponds
Time
has been reduced to clocks
Stories
and legends have been caged
Inside
books
Lips
have been locked
With
meaningless banter
And
to make matters worse
Love
has been dissected
Into
lust and nuptials only
It
seems
Centuries
have passed
Since
we fell apart
The
spirit of the world is dead
We
all are the living corpses
Scattered
all over
The
question I often ask myself is
“How long shall I stay?”
